Therapy with Bill Kerins

I love and accept myself.  Louise L. Hay

This is a well known Louise Hay statement.  It doesn't mean love yourself in a selfish way, but rather, love yourself in a self full way.  Accept who and what you are as you are now - without condition.  We often spend so much time wanting to be something other than who and what we are.  I call it the 'what if' syndrome.  "If only I could be slimmer, or taller, or more beautiful". What if you accepted yourself as you are and then move towards what you would like to be - in a positive and loving way.  Try it.

Meridian Energy Therapy

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Meridian Energy Therapy is a non invasive therapy which uses meridian points on the body to assist in removing emotional issues.

Origins and background.

The Chinese developed and have used Acupuncture successfully for thousands of years.  Most of us have seen or heard about inserting needles into certain parts of the body in order to re-balance the 'chi' or energy in the body.  From this, Acupressure (Shiatsu) was developed in which, instead of inserting needles, the practitioner simply applied pressure to these points in order to obtain results.

EFT is a meridian therapy - similar to acupuncture and acupressure, it works on the meridian system, but, unlike acupuncture we do not use needles.  Instead, we stimulate the major meridian points by tapping on them or gently massaging them.  As we tap these points we also use 'positive affirmations' in order to focus on the particular issue.

Here are some frequently asked questions.

Does it work ?
Yes it does, and like all other treatments it's beneficial effects are more pronounced and immediate on some people and not so on others.  What is important to remember is that it only has a beneficial effect and never a harmful one.  There has never been a reported incident of harm being done to any individual.

Is it painful ?
No, it is never painful, it can raise emotions, which it is (partly) designed to do.

How long does it take ?
A session lasts about 50 to 60 minutes.  Most treatments take one or two sessions to clear an issue.

Are the results permanent ?
Yes, we find that approximately 85% of our clients have experienced a long lasting benefit from EFT. This does not mean that the client will remain clear of any emotional, physical or mental issue for the rest of their lives.  It simply means that the client can release particular issues from their emotional body.

What can you use EFT to treat ?
EFT has been used on issues like - phobias; depressive condition; confidence building; low self esteem; public speaking; relaxation, nail biting and many more.

Key Benefits

  • The client can learn how to treat him / herself
